Gas Distribution
UGS Energy’s underground storage facilities are a critical part of the gas infrastructure and key to smooth gas deliveries in Poland and Europe, as well as a strategic tool for increasing energy security.
UGS Energy SA pays special attention to the operating activity in the field of gas production and transportation, its processing volume growth and electricity generation increase at the Company’s own power plants. The most advanced equipment is used to ensure maximum performance of associated natural and petroleum gas use in all our operated fields both wholly owned and third parties.
Our offering entails sale and loading of LNG on tanker trucks and into ISO tank containers using the dedicated infrastructure of the Lech Kaczyński LNG Terminal in Świnoujście (three handling stations, side and rear loading stations). LNG is delivered on an FCA basis, using the buyer’s transport, in accordance with the ‘Terminal’s Operational Code’ and ‘Operating Manual.
We offer spot, short or long-term contracts, as well as customised solutions tailored to our customers’ needs. As an LNG supplier operating since early-2016 we have built a track record of a reliable and competitive partner. We have also been the sole user of the small-scale LNG reloading wharf station. The cost of LNG transport is an important component of the fuel’s price.
Small-scale LNG applications include:
- in satellite regasification terminals located in Poland and abroad,
- in medium- and small-scale industry,
- as fuel for road transport,
- as low-emission bunker fuel for ships powered by LNG engines.
LNG is an excellent alternative to other fuels, such as LPG or fuel oil. UGS Energy holds relevant licences from the Energy Regulatory Office to trade in liquefied natural gas.
Gas Storage
UGS Energy is an international company with extensive experience in natural gas storage and underground facility development in Poland. UGS Energy’s professional experience in underground natural gas storage has been effectively applied in international environments and we are using the emerging synergies both technically and commercially. UGS Energy’s underground storage facilities are a critical part of the gas infrastructure and key to smooth gas deliveries in Poland and Europe, as well as a strategic tool for increasing energy security.
Our main advantage is in operation of a storage facility complex connected to other gas distribution and transmission networks and also a virtual trading point in Poland, instead of a single storage facility operation.
Today, we operates and develops technology and services for facilities with more than 64 TWh storage capacity in several European countries, contributing significantly toward secure natural gas supplies.
